Samsung Galaxy Note Review 5 Stars
I’m not a crazy geek that buys the newest latest release in fact the phone that I had prior to this Samsung Galaxy note, was a $25 dollar basic model that really did nothing but make and receive phone calls, I mean I’m talking 1990 kinda style LOL.
The reason i had a very cheap phone was I kept losing them, I must of lost 10 phones because I had a bit of a drinking problem for a while, and every time I was drunk I kept losing my telephone, so never really wanted to have an expensive telephone, since losing a $25 phone is way less painful than if I lose this one that is in the $600 range. Thankfully I no longer have those problems and am now the proud owner of the NEW Samsung Galaxy Note.
Why the Samsung Galaxy Note
The reason I purchased the Galaxy Note was because I am going to be traveling a lot in 2012, and was looking for a telephone that I could pretty much do everything with, such as emails, make notes, watch movies and most important be big enough for me to be able to actually read it without having to put my glasses on (I’m blind as a bat)
I was having coffee with my friend Leon Jay and he pulled out the Samsung Galaxy Note and it IMMEDIATELY grabbed my attention it was sleek and sexy and looked way cool and reminded me of ME LOL.
Leon then started showing me all the cool things it could do, and I have to say I was more than impressed with this fantastic phone-tablet and I decided right then, I would purchase this telephone.
Since it was not yet released in Thailand, I decided to purchase it from Amazon.com where the price was very competitive and I could get it shipped right to me here in Thailand via Singapore.

Since the Samsung Galaxy Note was not yet available in Thailand (where I live) I had to do a bit of research where the best place to purchase it would be, while at the same time finding the most competitive price.
I spent quite a while looking at prices and you need to take into consideration if the merchant includes the shipping into the cost as this can add to the cost.
I eventually settled on Amazon.com as they had the best price available taking all things into consideration, I purchased it for just over $600.00, its really is hard to beat Amazons prices and I am very happy with what I paid.
Size of the Samsung Galaxy Note
The first thing you will notice is the actual size of this telephone, its quite large compared to any other phone on the market, but when I picked it up, it fitted in my hand suprisingly well and was very comfortable, although it might be too big for someone with very small hands such as petite ladies
The actual size of the Galaxy Note is 147 x 83 x 9.65mm, the screen size is fantastic, and is a full 5.3 inches in size and has an ubeleivable resolution of 1080p, if you dont know what that is, that means 1080 pixels per square inch which is really overkill for such a small screen. Many of the big Flat Screen television have 1080P resolution so you know the Samsung Galaxy Note is going to be crisp clear and very bright.
As I previously mentioned if you have small hands or are petite you may find this phone a bit big but when you consider you have a fully functional mini computer, a telephone an 8mp camera, a video recorder, a Movie player etc all in the palm of your in your hands its a small issue for such a magnificent gadget.
It Took Me 2 Days To Work Out How to Answer a Call On My Samsung Galaxy Note 
This was Funny, I received the phone in the late afternoon and the next day i had to go on a day trip to Myanmar/Burma to renew my visa for staying in Thailand, and i thought GREAT i can watch a movie on my new Phone. (more on that in a minute)
While on the trip my wife called me and the phone rang for the first time with a nice GREEN pulsating circle on the screen, it was pretty obvious that you had to touch it to answer the phone, and that is exactly what i did, and did and did again but still the phone was ringing, HMMMMMMM.
Well I could not work out how to answer the bloody phone, and for the rest of the day when people called me I had to actually wait and call them back LOL talk about feeling stupid LOL.
Well I felt a little better when Greg Jacobs another Internet Marketer from my facebook account said it took him a day to work it out too.
So what is the secret to being able to answer a call on the samsung Galaxy Note ? Well its not, just as simple at touching the green Pulsating circle you actually have to touch it and then drag your finger to the center of the screen which will activate and allow you to receive the call.
Easy when you know how LOL.
Watching Movies and the Music Capabilities of the Galaxy Note.
The night before my trip I knew I wanted to watch a movie on the way to Myanmar and listen to some music as the trip is almost 4 hours each way so it was going to be a long boring day and what better way to make time fly than watch a good movie,
It was real easy to load a couple of movies onto the Galaxy Note because its just a case of connecting the cord to your laptop and then loading the movies and music onto the phone on its SD card.
The Samsung Galaxy Note comes with 16G memory and expandable up to 32G so a huge amount of storage and it works just like any other storage device just connect the Galaxy Note to the laptop and then drag and drop movies, music or whatever other files you want onto the Galaxy drive, REAL EASY.
I added 2 movies and 800 songs from my music library in about 1 minute. The movies I loaded was KILLER ELITE and PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 
So on the trip I decided to watch KILLER ELITE with Robert De Niro and Jason Statham. I started the movie and first off its really cool to be able to watch a full length movie on such a small decive and the picture quality was really fantastic and I started enjoying the movie (good movie by the way)
What I found annoying was that you have to hold the phone the whole time and that can get a bit uncomfortable after an hour of watching the movie, but it was better than not being able to watch a movie, but it would of been nice to stand it up and not hold it for over 2 hours.
Another thing I was not too impressed with were the headphones, I went on the trip on a small 14 seat mini van with other folks and the driver was playing his music and it was interfering with my movie watching as I could hear the music as I was watching the movie even with my earphones on. Now to be I cant expect the same quality as my BOSE Noise Cancelling Headphones which are FANTASTIC and a true movie surround sound experience. They even cancel out screaming babies on an airplane and are a lifesaver on long haul flights.

So overall I would say the movie experience was OK but only at a push would I watch movies on it in the future, but the music was great and it was great to have all my favorite music with me.
Other Cool Features of the Samsung Galaxy Note
I guess this review could go on and on as there is just so many features of the Galaxy Note, however i am just going to cover some of the things I really like about this phone.
- The Pen Stylus is cool it has a button on it and you just click it and it takes a screenshot and then you can take notes on the pictures and then email it. I found this really useful for pointing out changes i needed for one of my websites when I sent it to my virtual assitant it makes it really easy to point out important points.
- Its like your walking around with a notepad and pen and its great to be able to jot down ideas and make notes whenever you have a thought.
- Surfing the Internet is just like on a computer the screen is big enough for it to be comfortable and easy to view normal pages.
- Loads of Apps available via the Android market, although not as developed as the Iphone one but still this phones blows the Iphone out the water.
- Easy Keyboard big enough for big fat fingers like mine to easily type at a decent speed.
- it has voice recognition but admittingly I have not really got that worked out just yet.
- An 8mp Camera with brilliant quality
- A 1080p Full Video Recorder
- Movie Player
- MP3 Music Player
- Check Your Email
- Make Notes
- Play games ( really cool although I dont play them but my 4 year old daughter really likes it, NOOOOOOOO, had to buy her a Vtec Innopad Kids tablet and that will be my next review just as soon as it arrives.
Final Conclusion and Customer Reviews
I love my Samsung Galaxy Note its a bit more than what I am used to but can see that I wont need any other device as this is literally a walking computer with up to 32G of memory Movie Player, Music Player, notepad etc etc etc.
The Galaxy Note is still very new but it still has a PERFECT 100% score with 29 Customer Reviews on Amazon that all give the Samsung Galaxy Note a 5 STAR RATING and with my 5 Star vote that make 30 Real customers that rate this phone tablet a perfect 5 Stars.
